Diabolical Lady 2/9/17

My poem, Diabolical Lady is part of the Lost in Translation – Wordle 141 for this week. You can see the requirements/listed words at the bottom of my blog.  I tried a new style of writing for this poem. The underlined words in the poem are the words required. And now, on to my poem, Diabolical Lady. Susan…

Diabolical Lady

The lady was
always searching;
steeped in evil
looking for her
in her soul.

Satan worship
was among her many
interests and fanfare.
While her devilry
schemed turning
depravity to sport,
she salivated as
she found you…
her next

Her likeness was
rarely polite
never kind
but pretending,
she’d soften
as the lady
in her
web of delight.

Adroitly, she could
drown her seething
inner soul with alcohol.
Her angry soul
excelled at
your victimization…
your inner being…
your heart…
your soul…
your manhood.
She’d play with your head
making a mess that…
you’d spend a lifetime
revealing, confessing
to your God…
to your psych…
your counselor…
your therapist…
your social worker…
as they locked you away
in the asylum,
never loosed
on society again…
doomed forever with
doomed to Hell.
While the lady escaped without a scratch,
she laughed sauntering away, radar scanning…
looking for her next victim.

  1. Great use of the ten words, Susan! She’s definitely not a lady I’d like to know. I’ve often wondered what this challenge was about and have never got round to having a look until now. It’s a bit different to many other challenges and looks an interesting one to do.
