BUILD A PLACE FOR GOD I…
Thursday, I discussed from the Devotional, The Dynamics of Worship. The discussion was quite involved and included the physical structure of the worship building and the physiologic, psychologic, and spiritual makeup of the one who worships, so I divided the chapter into two parts. Monday night I finished discussing Part II in detail the specifics of the dynamics of the worship process itself. Some was a review of an earlier chapter that discussed the Hebrew and Greek words for “worship.” Another part we learned was that according to Tozer, worship includes feelings of emotion in the heart, commending or expressing trustworthiness, glorifying or bestowing honor and accolade with perfections, and sacrifice or making an offering, surrendering, giving up. Any questions that you have regarding the specifics of Dynamics of Worship, Part II feel free to click here.
Tonight we will talk about building a place for God…an Altar for God. God’s presence along with our presence is all that is required to worship God. I will again divide this chapter into two parts due to its length and importance. Tonight we will discuss the initial history of altars used as a means of worship with God and the second part we will talk about the specifics of altars and worship today.
