Putting My Finger On It
Some days I just can’t put my finger on the problem. Other days, I can identify the problem just fine, but can’t put my finger on the solution. Then, there are other days when I can’t put my finger on either the problem or the solution. I just have a vague sense of something being out of whack and can’t figure it out.
That when I sit down in my prayer chair (my knees gave out long ago) and pray about it and hand it over to God. Sometimes he gives me an answer, like “Lay off, this is mine to take care of.” Sometimes, I don’t hear from him for a while and suddenly an idea pops into my head with a scripture verse or a song verse that is similar to what is bothering me and low and behold, it leads me to the answer to my problem. It doesn’t always happen in minutes, mind you. Sometimes it takes hours or days, but there is always an answer of yes, no, or maybe to anything I pray about.
Do you have days like that? Do you find yourself in the midst of a Delima without an answer or even in the midst and don’t know the problem or the answer? Maybe you could try praying to God, or your Higher Power, whoever he or she is. See if you get a response from someone to help you out of your jam. I’ve been helped more times than I can count and I am ever so grateful. Of course, gratefulness is what it’s all about really so I always put my finger on the gratefulness button.
Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Feb. 6/16
It’s time for the Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt. It seems strange to me that the days and weeks seem to run together like paint on an uneven palette this time of year. Perhaps it’s because there’s so much time between holidays and thus, so much time to wait for something to look forward to. But enough of waxing philosophic, here’s this week’s prompt:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “finger.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
After you’ve written your Saturday post tomorrow, please link it here at this week’s prompt page and check to make sure it’s here in the comments so others can find it and see your awesome Stream of Consciousness post. Anyone can join in!
To make your post more visible, use the SoCS badge! Just paste it in your Saturday post so people browsing the reader will immediately know your post is stream of consciousness and/or pin it as a widget to your site to show you’re a participant. Wear it with pride!!
