City Blight

The City blight stood before him; not as he remembered it in his youth. He returned to finish his Masters. The neighborhood was rundown with litter everywhere. Homeless littered the streets and the occasional addict making his connection.

He remembered this area as clean, full of students frequenting the coffee shops and bookstores. It was sad to see the change and blight of the area. He felt a tear come to his eye.

He wondered if the city would return this area to what it was? Surely, he’d volunteer and probably others would too. He’d call the City Manager in the morning.
