Pause and Reflect…

With yesterday’s blog, I wrote that in Psalm 103:13, David says that the Lord is like a father and is compassionate to those who fear him. “Fear” in Hebrew translates to revere or show respect. I will be the first to admit that I did not understand this verse when I first learned it. I didn’t believe this verse because my earthly father was not compassionate, caring, tender toward me even though I respected him. With the second verse, 14, says that He (the Lord) knows our frame (or weakness) and is mindful that we are dust. This verse refers back to Genesis when God created man in his own image from dust. (see Genesis 2:7) God knows our weakness or frame because He created us from dust. 

Today, I want to switch gears and complete this last week of Reflections with some reflections that I wrote in poetry. I write poetry on All Poetry almost daily. I presently am in a Vignette class teaching me how to write vignettes which are poems that tell a focused story. The vignette today is a short paragraph vignette to a prompt-Refections.
