30 Day Attitude of Gratitude Challenge Day 29-Love

First….

Today, I want to inspire you to have gratitude and to love with gratitude. Love is part of life and it helps us to show gratitude to our Higher Power (mine is God) for things we love and cherish. There are 4 kinds of love (from the Greek):

  1. Agape-Unconditional love that sees beyond the outside accepts you as you are, regardless of flaws, shortcomings or faults. This is the type of love that everyone wants for fellow human beings.
  2. Phileo-An affectionate, warm and tender platonic love. It makes you want friendship with someone. It is a committed and chosen love.
  3. Storge-It is a kind of family and friendship love. This is the love that parents naturally feel for their children; the love that member of the family have for each other; or the love that friends feel for each other. This love is unconditional, accepts flaws or faults and involves willingness to forgive. This love is a sacrificial, committed, love that makes you feel secure, comfortable and safe.
  4. Eros-This love is a passionate and intense love that arouses romantic feelings. Eros is an emotional and sexual love that is intense in the beginning. If you are “in love” and don’t feel good about your relationship then you may fall out of love.

All of the quotes come from Winnie The Pooh and Gang. I love Winnie the Pooh. I even remember decorating my adult daughter’s room when she was newborn with Pooh Bear wall coverings, posters and curtains. And of course, I bought her a small Pooh that played the Winnie the Pooh song. Enjoy and be uplifted.
