The photo below is from Barb Beacham, our host, with her bit of flash and a link back to the post.

Finish the story begins with:  “The Mayor and the town manager waved as their next victim approached.”

Southern City Scam

“The Mayor and the town manager waved as their next victim approached.”

“Howdy Gentlemen,” greeted the visitor.

“Howdy Mister. What can we do for you?” Jeb, the Mayor, responded.

“We’re gettin’ ready to close for the 4th,” continued Mike, the town manager.

“Well, you see fellers, I’m just passin’ through and wondered if you could tell me where the hotel is?” the visitor continued.

“We don’t rightly have a hotel, but if ya want, ya can spend the night with us?” said Mike.

Why ain’t ya plannin to stay here?” Jeb continued, “We’s a right friendly town.”

“I heard the politicians are runnin’ a scam” stated the visitor.

“Whaaaat?” questioned Mike.

At the house, Jeb and Mike felt it was time to spring the trap on the visitor.

“Do ya like havin’ extra money?” Jeb asked.

“ We’s a plan,” Mike continued, “Ya want in? It’ll costs ya $1000”

The visitor advised, “Yur under arrest for scamin’ an FBI agent,”

With that, he cuffed them and carted them off to jail.
