Visions of Heaven or Hell
“When the team heard the dam explode, they knew they had limited time to make it to safety.”
The river was treacherous. Each man aware of the risks, experienced visions of Heaven or Hell. Each one silently asked, “Why me, God? Why now?” Difficult circumstances brought you to your knees either to worship or to pray and ask for help.
Several had young children, one was widowed, and one was divorced. Each sought survival. Even the agnostic asked the age-old questions. Many a nonbeliever became a man of God through similar tragedies. I’m sure God in His Heaven wondered why men waited so long to come to Him.
Some sought God in each undertaking in their life and were resigned to their fate. If this was God’s will, so be it. Others were not so well prepared, refusing to accept.
Finally, the moment came and all were swept overboard by the flooding water. Overtaken by the flood and underwater, each glimpsed their final visions of Heaven or Hell.
