100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week#171
Each week we are given a prompt by Julia from Julia’s Place. It may be a few connected words, a selection of individual words or a picture.
The challenge this week is a photo taken outside a shop in China Town, San Francisco.
So, I have 100 words to produce a creative piece about this scene!

Wise Is As Wise Does
“Wise is as wise does,” Jenna said.
Her mother answered, “The 3 wise monkeys remind me of that quote.”
Jenna stared at her mother. Her mother squirmed.
“What are you getting at, Jenna?” mom asked.
“I’m talking about Joseph, your fiance.” said Jenna, “He doesn’t work, he’s mean to our dog, and to you.”
“We can work it out. Don’t concern yourself.” her mother replied.
Jenna rolled her eyes and knew it was hopeless. “But MOMMMMM!” she exclaimed.
Jenna’s mom wasn’t listening. She turned and rushed out the door. She was late meeting Joseph.
“Hell to pay, again…” she thought.
