Frost With A Sprinkling of Spring

We had frost with a sprinkling of spring in the yard. The temperature promised 60 degrees. Flowers were struggling to come up out of the soil. Spring was about here. Winter was rough this year.

Signs were everywhere what we lost by the unseasonable cold in TN. Everybody had “cabin fever” and we were antsy to get outside. Even yard work sounded good. For the first time in months my dog, Guiness, didn’t need pushing out the door this morning. He went willingly wagging his tail.

Yes, we could smell new birth in the air as the frost melted and we celebrated a sprinkling of spring’s arrival.
